Why Mobilize?

Every year, students and twenties from Confluence churches across the U.S. gather for Mobilize, a conference that inspires and equips this generation to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. My first Mobilize conference was ten years ago, and it changed the trajectory of my life.

My wife and I are packing up our house and kids at the end of October to move to Kansas City and plant a life-giving church. Why? Because of what God put in my heart at Mobilize ten years ago. Others have moved oversees, started non-profits, changed professions, and risked it all. Why? Because of a vision God dropped in their hearts at Mobilize.  

Sometimes people ask me, why Mobilize? Why another conference? What’s the big deal? This is why: we believe God wants to do it again in this generation. The words and works of the Lord need to be multiplied in another group of students and twenties. We put in the time, the money, and the work to make this conference possible for one reason and one reason alone: we believe God wants to capture the hearts of the students and twenties in your church and engage them in his mission.

The opportunity is before us again. Pastors, parents, students and twenties: please look around your churches and on your campuses and see the potential that lies at hand. There is potential for God to wreck this generation for his plans and purposes. Seize the opportunity, do whatever needs to be done, and ensure that students in your church get to Mobilize. Who knows what God might do? I believe he will do more than we could ever ask or imagine. Let’s make it the best Mobilize yet!
